Match 1 (ZIM vs NZ) Zimbabwe handed drubbing by Kiwis

Second highest ODI score by Kiwis, Lou Vincent smashes 172

Zimbabwe were handed out a 192-run defeat by New Zealand in the opening match in the Triangular Series in Bulawayo. New Zealand posted a massive 397-5 off 44 overs, with Lou Vincent smashing 172 for his maiden international century. The Kiwis total was only one run less than Sri Lanka's record one-day international score, set off 50 overs.

Vincent featured in a 204-run opening partnership with skipper Stephen Fleming (93) and a 122-run stand with Craig Fleming for the second wicket on a day records tumbled. Vincent's 172 was scored off 119 balls, including 16 fours and nine sixes, before being caught by Prosper Utseya off the bowling of Andy Blignaut - just 22 runs short of Saeed Anwar's ODI world record individual score. The total was New Zealand's highest one-day innings, beating their previous best of 349-9 against India in 1999.

Match 2 (IND vs NZ) Bond blitz stuns India

Paceman Bond too quick for India

Shane Bond blazed through India and pried open a threatening partnership between Jai P Yadav and Irfan Pathan to take New Zealand to victory by 51 runs in the second match of the Videocon Cup in Bulawayo
India were 44-8 at one stage in reply to New Zealand's 215 all out. But they managed to reach 164, thanks to a stand of 118 between Jai Prakash Yadav (69) and Irfan Pathan (50). They were only eight runs short of the Indian ninth wicket record partnership, set by Kapil Dev and Syed Kirmani 22 years ago, when Bond returned to have Pathan caught by keeper Brendon McCullum in the 37th over.

The Indian innings was in part a carbon copy of New Zealand's, with the Kiwis reduced to 36-5 by an excellent spell of new ball bowling from Pathan and Ashish Nehra. Pathan celebrates after sending Lou Vincent on his way. New Zealand went into the game after thrashing hosts Zimbabwe by 192 runs on Wednesday.

New Zealand 215 (43.1 overs) beat India 164 (37.2 overs) by 51 runs.

Match 3 (IND vs ZIM) India cruise to emphatic victory

Dhoni (56) unleashes another big hit; Pathan & Agarkar bowls Zimbabwe to 65 all out!

Irfan Pathan produced a devastating spell of swing bowling as India brushed aside Zimbabwe with a crushing 161-run victory in the Videocon Cup cricket tri-series match in Harare. After a stuttering batting performance to post a competitive 226 for six, the Indians shot out the hosts for a paltry 65 in 24.3 overs with Pathan wrecking the inexperienced batting line up with five for 27, as the hosts recorded their third lowest one-day international total in what turned out to be a totally lopsided contest at the Harare Sports Club. Ajit Agarkar also shared the spoils with four for 18.

It was Zimbabwe's 35th defeat in the last 40 matches, marking one of the longest losing streaks dating back to 2003-04, punctuated only by a no result against Australia in 2004-05 and two wins each during their tour of Bangladesh and a home series against the same opponent.

Earlier Dhoni (56) and Yuvraj Singh (53 not out) put on 103 runs for the 87-ball fifth wicket stand which gave a semblance of respectability to the doddering Indians against a midget-weight opposition in Zimbabwe. Dhoni brought up his half century with two consecutive sixes against Andy Blignaut in the 48th over and Yuvraj's straight six in the final over hurtled India towards their final score. Dhoni batted for 46 balls for his 56 runs with two fours and four sixes while Yuvraj remained not out on 53 from 71 balls with three fours and a six.

Match 4 (NZ vs ZIM) Kiwis power to third series win

Nathan Astle's 61 and Shane Bond's 4-17 rocks Zimbabwe

Andy Blignaut gave a fine performance for the hosts in Harare on Wednesday with 4-46 and a dashing 50 in 47 balls. But after allowing New Zealand to score 238, Zimbabwe were always struggling to chase down the target and Shane Bond (4-17) produced a fine display. In the New Zealand innings, Nathan Astle and Scott Styris each hit half-centuries and Daniel Vettori added a vital 47 when the Kiwis were in some trouble at 149-7 in the 35th over. Spinner Gavin Ewing had a good day for the hosts as he took three wickets.

Vettori took two wickets in the middle of the innings and only Blignaut's late hitting got Zimbabwe remotely close before Bond wrapped up the tail to finish matters with six balls to spare.

New Zealand 238 beat Zimbabwe 211 by 27 runs.

Match 5 (IND vs NZ) Kaif century inspires India win

Kaif (102 of 121) Mahendra Dhoni (37 of 27) seals Indian win

New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat, posting 278-9 from 50 overs. Scott Styris (56) and Craig McMillan (40) put on 87 after Stephen Fleming had launched the innings with 47. Both sides made changes for the game in Harare. India recalled Virender Sehwag in place of Venugopal Rao while New Zealand included Chris Cairns and Andre Adams for Shane Bond and Daniel Vettori.

India's stroke-making openers Sehwag and Sourav Ganguly put on 66 before Ganguly hooked paceman Kyle Mills straight to fine-leg off the last ball of the seventh over for 19. Sehwag, who hit three fours in one over from Andre Adams, followed when he was bowled for 45 by Jacob Oram, leaving India on 75-2 in the 10th over. Kaif shared an assured partnership of 101 in 21 overs with Rahul Dravid , who struck 39 from 61 deliveries, with five fours. The Indian requirement went from 56 off the final 10 overs to 30 from the last five, but Dhoni eased any concerns by launching successive sixes off substitute spinner Jeetan Patel, who was making his debut.

New Zealand 278-9 lost to India 279-4 (47.3 overs) by 6 wickets.

Match 6 (IND vs ZIM) India triumph over Zimb

Yuvraj Singh (120) and Mahendra Dhoni (67 not out) turns the tide after disastrous 36/4 opening!

In the final round robin match in Harare, India were 36-4 at one stage with a mounting required run rate. But Yuvraj Singh (120) and Mahendra Dhoni (67 not out) righted the ship and Zimbabwe were beaten by four wickets.
When they had batted, the hosts were guilty of collapsing from 227-4 in the 45th over after Charles Coventry (74) and Tatenda Taibu (71) had set up a good platform. Ajit Agarkar finished with 3-34 while debutant Rudra Pratap Singh, who opened the bowling, had figures of 2-44.

Blessing Mahwire had the wickets of Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid as India lost wickets regularly at the top of the order. With skipper Sourav Ganguly and Mohammad Kaif also failing India were in trouble but Yuvraj held his nerve and Dhoni proved the perfect partner to see India home. The winning hit was a big blow over long-on for six from Dhoni off the bowling of Blessing.

Zimbabwe 250 all out lost to India 255-6 by 4 wickets.

Finals (IND vs NZ) New Zealand triumph over India

A magnificent unbeaten century from Nathan Astle guides New Zealand to a four-wicket victory!

Nathan Astle hit his 15th century in one-day international cricket as New Zealand beat India by six wickets in the final of a triangular series in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The 33-year-old struck an unbeaten 115 from 131 balls, his first century in a year, as New Zealand reached 278-4 in response to India's 276 all out with 11 balls of its 50 overs remaining.
Astle and captain Stephen Fleming, 61 from 66 balls, shared a 121-run opening stand before Virender Sehwag held a catch off his own bowling to end the partnership. He also dismissed Hamish Marshall and Scott Styris for figures of 3-44.

Earlier, Mohammad Kaif top-scorer with 93 not out for India, while Sehwag hit 75 runs from 65 balls. Sehwag and Kaif took India to 155-1 before Sehwag became the first of nine wickets to fall for 121 runs. Dravid returned without adding to the score. Jacob Oram took 4-58.
India and New Zealand both won three matches and suffered one defeat in the group stage, while host nation Zimbabwe lost all its games. India continues its one-day series finals loses, and loss in rankings.

India 276 all out (49.3 overs) lost to New Zealand 278 for 4 (48.1 overs) by 6 wickets.
